In March 2021, Max Allard launched a series exclusively for his Patreon subscribers called March Maxness, in which he wrote and recorded a new piece of music every day for the entire month. At the time, it was a way to stay connected with his supporters, but it was also a challenge for himself. Listening to it now, he realized there is a sort of magic in the immediacy of the daily home recordings, and he decided to share this time capsule with a wider audience.

It's an unpredictable mix of banjo, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass, harmonium, mandolin, and features the occasional xylophone, drum brush, maraca, slide whistle or wine glass. Almost all instruments are played by Max, with an occasional guest appearance. And all are recorded using a condenser microphone and the recording software on Max’s laptop.

Almost all instruments were played by Max, and include the following: piano, banjo, guitar (electric and acoustic), bass, mandolin, harmonium, drum & brush, glockenspiel, wine glass, slide whistle. Occasional cameos from birds and the Atlantic Ocean. Guest appearances by Otto Allard and Noah Allard.
